New bungalows built on a hill facing the Pacific Ocean

If you are looking for uncrowded surf in warm tropical waters, with a break in front of your door and lush rainforest out the back, then the Bungalows La Buena Vida in Ecuador are exactly for you.

The American owned La Buena Vida offers 6 brand new bungalows built on a hill facing the Pacific Ocean and the Ayampe surfing break. Each of their spacious tropical bungalows is fitted out with everything you need for a comfortable stay with the upgraded bungalows including air-conditioning and DIRECTV. Located right in the center of town just a few minutes from the beach, restaurants and bars, La Buena Vida is convenient for everything. Owners Keith Keller, a former sponsored surfer, and his Ecuadorian wife Marilyn bring their experience of working in the high-end Manhattan hotel business to the last remaining rain forest next to the sea in South America. The Baja Manabí region of Ecuador is known for its bio-diversity and undisturbed beauty including the famous “Los Ahorcados” rock formations that add to one of the most spectacular sunsets to be seen on the Pacific coast.

Beach break that produces waves 300 days a year

The surfing to be had in these un-crowded warm waters is surprisingly consistent with the swell averaging between 3-6 feet with the bigger swells producing waves in the region of 12 feet. Ayampe is a beach break that produces waves 300 days a year with a North swell lighting up a point break right that peels out for 200 yards offering an inside section that barrels hard,  and unlike surfing destinations in Central America is not affected by brutal offshore winds. For the bigger waves the best time to visit is between the late November and early May.

Surfing is the main reason to vacation at Bungalows La Buena Vida, Packages are available for the single traveler right up to groups of 8 people, and no matter what your level is from beginner to advanced surfer Keith will help to fall in love with the sport, and improve your technique. And you will fall in love with Marilyn's kitchen, too.

4 reasons to choose Bungalows La Buena Vida:

  1. Brand new beachfront accommodation!
  2. Tropical waters and consistent waves!
  3. Rainforest and waves going hand in hand.
  4. Kick back and get away from it all.
