Moroccan Surf Adventures

Morocco: Tamraght

The first and definitely among the very best. Outstanding food and surf services paired with a cool vibe!

Morrocan Surf Adventuress by Nicolas on December 22, 2014
First time for me in Morroco. I stayed 8 days.
The Day I arrived, a round 12 at the camp, the crew was already away surfing, no waves around the camp so I had to wait for the Day after Which annoter me a bit...got Bored for the entière afternoon...
I was expecting great surf, still, the wind was on shore and we had only one really good Day at Killer point 8-12 foot, saoule have broutât a gun, the wave is massive.
Other days were poor. Had also,a good session at Anza. 4-6 foot glassy. I did not surf two sessions every Day....
The place needs a lot of Swell and good wind direction. So this is not always the case and a short trip is a bit of gambling.
Nigel and Dennis the owners were away, so I only sas them 10 minutes and you can Tell the difference between them and the guides...the guides Know what them are doing for sure, but they don't Seem really happy to do it...I was travelling Alone and this can be a problem if other Guys don't have the same level.
The yoga sessions we really cool ! The food was really good, except, for Lunch, not Enough.
I paid 965 euros for the stay, and I think it is a bit expensive as
I Know real Morrocan prices.
Maybe some after surf animation could have been a good idea.
My plane was 13h55 the last Day, i could not surf as nô good waves around.
Maybe a sandwich for lunch would have been welcomed....but,not proposed. That annoyed me too.

I think if you're a good surfer, just book for explorer trip with the owners as their energy, enthousiasm and expérience are great.

Last, My comparison is Maldives this summer, where i got awesome waves and mates...

Over all, a good experience, but too expansive for what i got to experience.

Cheers

N

Actually, the rating could/should be five stars everywhere, but then it would be difficult to underline the good service, the tasty food and the excellent value for money ratio. The staff is outstanding, and the surfing was really the best that could be done with the waves off season. Definitely recommendable and worth another trip (we met many people which did return as well, which is a good sign).

What a surf holiday! These were the times we’re gonna remember for a long time. Nothing is better then to wake up, eat super delicious breakfast and then surf for the whole day. Thanks to MSA team! Stay the best!

Relax and take it easy. That was Morocco for me. Came to the camp alone, but met there some real cool people. Surfing was perfect. Thanks to Denny and Nigel for taking us to the best waves. Love you guys. Hope to see you soon
