This western most province of Canada is known for legendary champagne powder, world class lodges, some of the best heli-skiing in the world, and of course, epic skiing and snowboarding almost everywhere. British Columbia is often featured in freeriding movies because this is one of the few places in the world where spectacular landscapes and fantastic snow conditions can be found almost everywhere. Some consider British Columbia to be the ultimate skiing or riding destination, a place that everyone should visit once, but you’ll probably want to return every year.

Throughout most of the southern region of British Columbia you’ll find range after range of mountains and some of the tallest peaks in North America. In this region you can count on always having deep powder, with an annual snowfall average of around 10 meters and as much as 15 meters in some places. Although it’s often called a skier’s Mecca, British Columbia is vast and untracked in most places and you can count on few crowds and visiting slopes covered in virgin snow. The terrain in British Columbia is diverse so every type of rider and skier will find something to play on, including open terrain, steeps, tree runs, cliffs for dropping, and long glacier descents.

In British Columbia there is also a huge variety of accommodation types, some to suit every budget, but almost everywhere in the region you’ll find that the classic rustic ski-lodge atmosphere is always held true whether in a luxurious chalet or a no-frills lodge. Due to the remote location of many of the lodges offered with our trips, you could say that British Columbia is the perfect place for those skiers and snowboarders that want an escape, because you’ll feel like you’ve left the world behind. There are also trips located in popular mountain villages, where there is plenty of off-slope entertainment for the evenings.
