Good surf conditions can be found pretty much on all continents and oceans. The Atlantic Ocean is extremely stormy. Its swells generate great waves for countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Canary Islands, Morocco and many more. Atlantic surf spots are usually available all year long with powerful swells occurring in the northern hemisphere winter. Warm summers create good conditions for beginners.

The Indian Ocean is a favorite spot of majority of surf enthusiasts. Southwest swells are strong and reliable, producing waves for pros, intermediates and beginners. Tropical surf destinations such as Bali, Mentawais, Other Indonesian areas, Maldives, Sri Lanka are surfer’s paradise, where you can surf only in board shorts. The Maldives are known for amazing reef breaks surrounding almost all of the tropical atolls. Vast exposure to Indian Ocean swell guarantees high quality waves. Western shore of Indonesia is packed with stunning surf spots for surfers on every level. Mentawai Islands are famous for great waves like E-bay, Macaronis or Thunders. Bali is full of fun surf spots, such as Padang Padang or Uluwatu. Java offers unforgettable surf experiences on Panaitan and G-Land. Lombok, Sumabawa and Timor are worth considering for uncrowded surf in Indonesia. Another epic surf island of the Indian Ocean is Sri Lanka. Southeast is perfect for intermediates and pros, whereas southwest is made for beginners. Tropical climate of the Indian Ocean makes it possible surf year round in board shorts. Swells are the most consistent during northern hemisphere summer, yet Indonesia and Sri Lanka have good waves also in winter.

The Pacific Ocean also produces consistent swells all year around in places like Samoa, Philippines, Fiji, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Panama, Chile or Peru.

Multiple mountain ranges are spread over all continents. There are plenty of places to ride and explore for skiers and snowboarders. Diversified terrain, deep powder runs or epic snow parks are all over the world. The Alps, the Rocky Mountains, the Coast Mountains, the Caucasus, the Himalyas and the Andes are some of the best mountains for freeriding and heli-skiing. If you choose the right place, both hemispheres offer great snow conditions throughout the entire year.

Snow rich ski destinations such as Verbier, Davos, Laax, Chamonix or St. Anton deliver reliable snow conditions for heli-skiing, lift accessible freeride and ski touring. Mayrhofen, Schladming and Obertauern, Les Deux Alpes, Avoriaz, Laax or Livigno offer top quality snow parks, hosting the best snow camps in Europe. The best snow conditions in Europe occur during Northern Hemisphere winter from December to April. Snowy December is perfect for tree runs, while January and February provide solid snowpack, long days and some blue bird days with waist deep powder, if you are lucky. March and April are sunnier with up to knee deep powder.

Alaska has the steepest terrain, the driest snow and the highest fun factor. The season is short, but amazing in Valdez, Haines and Chugach Mountains. Waist deep powder in February and 15 hours daylight with shin deep powder in April will put a smile on the face of every freerider.
