Where is Sunshine Surf Morocco?

Sunshine Surf Morocco is a surfcamp located in Tamraght in the region of Agadir, Kingdom of Morocco a. Due to its convenient geographical position, it is the best place for European surfers to enjoy top waves, sunshine and warm weather all year long at the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. A short 40 min drive from Agadir international airport, which is a short hop (2-4 hrs) from most central European cities.


How do I get there?

The easiest way to get to Agadir is by flying to Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA). Served by Royal Air Maroc, British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair, Thomas Cook, TUI, Transavia. The flying time from London is just three hours, from other major European airports it will take between 2-5 hours. If you are traveling from the USA, you can connect either in Casablanca or at a European airport, as there are no direct flights to Agadir. From Agadir Al Massira Airport it’s a 40 min drive North along the picturesque coastal road. If you find it more convenient you can also fly to Marrakech Menara Airport (which offers connections to all over Europe) – we will be able to arrange a transfer for you. Just inform us beforehand. Agadir is 160 miles from Marrakech and it takes just about two hours to drive on the new motorway; it will cost approximately €100 for 4 people.


Do I need a Visa?

For EU passport holders, as well as Russian Federation, USA and New Zealand citizens a Visa is not required to enter Morocco for tourist purposes. You can stay in Morocco for up to 90 days and your passport should be valid for at least 6 months before your return date. If you are a citizen of any other country, please, get in touch with your nearest Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco.


Can I bring my children?

At the surfcamp we do not have any special baby facilities however we welcome children of all ages.


What about boards?

With the big variety of waves it is difficult to give you the perfect advise. But bring the equipment to suit your ability and the swells you would like to surf. Mid-winter waves can get up to 15ft, so if you want to surf them, bring something suitable. Sunshine Surf Morocco provides you with everything you need for your surf holiday; A range of diffrent size surfboards and wetsuits. These are all included in the full package price.


What clothes should I bring?

Morocco is one of the most tolerant Muslim countries out there. Shorts, t-shorts, flip-flops are all suitable. Swimming costumes and bikinis are normal on the beach. However, if you are walking in the town it is advisable to cover your hands and don’t wear your shortest shorts. Just respect the local customs. Also bring some warm clothes for the winter period, as evenings can be quite chilly.

At the surf camp we provide bath towels however please, bring your own beach towels.


What food can I expect?

You’ll be impressed with the variety and taste of the local cuisine! It is known all over the world. Our chef will prepare a mixture of Moroccan and international dishes each week for you to enjoy at the surfcamp.


Do you cater for special diets?

It is normal that some people have special requirements in diets. We recommend you to inform us beforehand as we can prepare everything necessary to meet your needs. Even though you should be aware that not all ‘specialized food alternatives’ are available. Please contact us for details.
