How good is your Spanish? It wouldn’t hurt to learn a few dozen words so you for sure get to surf all the spots you’ve ever wanted. Although English is widely spoken and you’ll have absolutely no problem getting from A-B, it is very helpful to get familiar with the lingo to get in with the local crew because some of the lineups can be tricky to find or are far away from the major tourist hotspots. No need to worry though, we have you covered, we work with the best surf operators, resorts and services all over Central America to ensure that all LUEX guest have the time of their lives.

What our customers say

"This is an awesome camp. The location is real cool, just a few steps away from the surf spot. And surf conditions are suitable for all kinds of surfers. It is truly a sanctuary. I surfed, practiced yoga and ate healthy for the entire stay and came back home with fully charged batteries."

Raymundo
(Blue Surf Sanctuary - Costa Rica)

"I’m a beginner, so for me it was important to learn the theory and practice under supervision of professionals. Instructors did hell of a job… I feel that I picked up the basics fast thanks to their motivating attitude. El Salvador is marvelous."

Bent
(El Salvador Surf Camps - El Savador)

"Super nice hotel with frontside waves. We stayed there for 10 days. We’re all medium – advanced surfers, so it was perfect for us. The view from hotel is great and we loved falling asleep, listening to the sound of the ocean and waves. Overall great experience :)"

Tamara
(Hotel Cinco Punta Mita - Mexico)

"...We had the same guide during the two weeks. He is a very nice guy and was a great help to us. Familiar with all spots he recommended the best time and spot every day. When the swell was not good or waves were too big for us, he took us to nice places like waterfalls, on a boat trip, etc....."

Kerstin/Ronny
(AST Las Flores - El Savador)

"...We had 8 out of 10 good days for surfing. On the days without waves there is plenty of things you can, so it's not boring at all. We loved hanging around the pool and meeting people from many different countries...so to sum it up in one word - FANTASTIC!"

Marco
(Hooked Cabarete - Dominican Republic)

"The owners, Bruno and Uli, are wonderful, and the surfhouse is brand new and really comfortable. Dino the chef cooked amazing gourmet dinners every night. The surf at Playa Hermosa is also great for all levels, and the surfhouse is secluded enough that you will see monkeys every morning at breakfast. I will definitely be back!"

Bonnie
(Early Bird Surfhouse - Costa Rica)

You should spend your next surf holiday in Central America - here's why

01

Unforgettable rides are waiting for you

Clean waves are only fun when you can surf them, right? Certain areas within Central America are well known for offering uncrowded lineups, glistening across shorelines in hues yet to be named! While choosing the right knowledgable guides with the right transportation means (4x4 or "panga" boat), will leave you captivated by once in a lifetime sessions and unforgettable rides across stunning locations!

02

Central America got endless things to see and do

As if surfing wasn’t enough, Central America has a myriad of unique and incredible things to do between surf sessions. In Mexico, you can experience a food culture like no other while indulging in the cultural history of a nation as varied as the waves along its 9000 miles of coastline. In Costa Rica, the treasured South Pacific Coast has the largest remaining stretches of Pacific coastal rainforests to wander around or simply look at while waiting for your next wave.

03

Choose your wave type

Many areas in Central America encompass very different wave types. When you have access to all the waves in a specific area (and the local knowledge to know when to go where) you will likely find a combination of beach breaks, reef breaks and point breaks! Soft peeling, punchy or hollow, you can make your pick. One thing is for sure though – you won’t need much more than your board shorts – the water is as warm around Central America as the hearts of all those who live there!

04

Waves for everyone in the center of America

Surfing in Central America is a real treat for surfers of every skill set. No matter if you're a first time beginner or a well seasoned sea-wolf, in Central America there are waves for all. Take Santa Teresa beach break for example: the same spot can offer soft peelers in high-tide and sneaky barrels in low tide. Just let us know what kind of waves are you chasing and what's your surf level and we'll point out the right directions for you!

05

Go solo or with the family on your Central America Surf Trip

Whether you want a surf adventure for you and your family or are kicking it with a bunch of friends or even if you want to head to Central America alone, surfing holidays are suitable for everyone in this surfer’s paradise. Legendary surf camps and surf resorts make up the majority of our choices, with a diverse choice of accommodation available from the humble beach huts and cabanas to penthouse suites and self-catering options.
