Winetasting

Portugal is a great wine country. Romans introduced the tradition of making wine a long time ago. Today Portugal has two wine producing regions that are protected by UNESCO as World Heritage: the Douro Valley Wine Region and Pico Island Wine Region. Due to the variety of grapes, Portugal is known for producing different wines with their own distinct personality and taste. From our lodge we offer wine tasting trips to a small, family owned vineyard in the area. We can also recommend longer trips after your stay at us.
