Rote one of the islands in the Indonesian archipelago

The Boa Hills Surf House is a hidden getaway located in Rote one of the southernmost islands in the Indonesian archipelago. Built exclusively from renewable wood, and powered by the latest in solar technology this eco-friendly resort collects its own water, and uses the treated waste water to grow organic vegetables, which along with free range farm animals and fish provide great food for you to enjoy.

This eco-friendly resort is powered by solar technology

Accommodation is provided in coconut thatched bungalows that are built on stilts which help to keep the rooms cool while providing a view of the waves. The main two bedroom house is also available for rent with all the comforts of home including satellite television. All packages in include laundry service, cleaning, and 3 meals a day.

Not too far from the world famous, easy to surf T-Land

The main reason of course to visit Rote is for the surfing. The surf is all year around with the best time being from November to April with predominantly westerly wind and with Boa Beach producing high performance right-hand waves where advanced surfers can showcase their talents. From April to November the T-Land and Nembrela area is alive and great for intermediates and advanced surfers that will enjoy racing the steep walls. Boa Hills Surf House is still not too far from the world famous T-Land, a lefthander that is easy to surf when small, but challenging and steep when big. A wave that is well suited for both intermediates and advanced surfers.

Even though a real effort is needed to get there the surfing experience alone is well worth the trip for hard core surf addicts.

3 Reasons to choose The Boa Hills Eco Surf House are:

  1. Great location and eco-friendly.
  2. A good choice especially for the off-season, but not limited to that!
  3. The wave Boa itself is actually more famous than T-land, which is not far away either.
