Norway has five main ski areas, Lyngen, Lofoten, Vesteralen, Senja and Svalbard, each offering a variety of conditions at various times of the year. Lyngen with its summits of up to 1800m has challenges to suit everyone with its glaciers and hiking routes. In the Lofoten, Vesteralen and Senja areas, skiers will find steeper mountains and excellent powder conditions with the season lasting until mid April. Svalbard is from May to June and has three great summits to climb, however Polar bears will be around so precautions must be taken!
