With 15,000 acres including many alpine bowls Backcountry Snowcats only 1 hour north of Whistler at Hurley’s pass offer the ultimate powder skiing experience.
The Backcountry Snowcats tenure is located 1 hour (North) of Whistler. We meet up with all of our guests in the neighboring town of Pemberton, where we group up and head to the foot of the Hurley Pass. We can also arrange Whistler pick up for large groups. The Hurley pass is the home of our Cat Skiing Operation. The Hurley Pass is just north of Pemberton in the south Chilcotin Mountains via a 3.5 hour trip from Vancouver on Highway 99 to Pemberton.
Cat Skiing Accommodation
The Hurley Mountain Lodge is a modular building designed to accommodate up to 14 guests and our staff. Our lodge is situated at 5000ft directly at the bottom of the Black Forest, some of our best tree skiing. The lodge, large enough for one group at a time, has comfortable double occupancy rooms in a hostel-type setting.
End your day of ripping powder, relaxing and enjoying the surrounding mountains with an apres ski, outdoor hot tub. Then move inside to hot appetizers and a social gathering in the dining room or entertainment lounge.
Wireless internet is available for those that need to keep in touch. We also have a satellite phone for outside communications.
