Glaciers on Purcell Mountains for Skiers & snowboarders

The Purcell Mountains are defined by huge granite cliffs and impressive glaciers that will inspire the most expert and experienced riders. Heli-skiers and snowboarders have been returning to Bugaboo Lodge for years to pursue idyllic powder and get creative in their interpretation of riding the snow.

As soon as you enter this authentic lodge you’ll be blown away by the spectacular views of snowy mountains cloaked in old growth forests. This kind of terrain will get even the most seasoned of skiers and boarders pumping, with endless options to tackle the mountain and shred the pow.

Backcountry exploration trips to epic mountain ridges

Did we mention there’s a hot-tub on the roof? If it wasn’t for the incredible terrain that begs to be carved you would be forgiven for wanting to spend your entire vacation soaking in the jacuzzi. No other hot-tub has views like this one – epic mountain ridges and sparkling glaciers are your backdrop as you relax with your buddies.

When you’re not ripping it up on the mountain or soaking up on the roof you can enjoy the lodge’s games room with pool table. Grab a drink at the bar and tuck into delicious dinners prepared each day by dedicated chefs. Rest-up ahead of each big day of backcountry exploration in the comfortable rooms which all have private baths. Free wifi is available so you can check-in with the outside world but you’ll probably have better things to do anyway, like popping off pillows and swooshing through the trees!

The powder snow playground for heli-ski and touring

Bugaboo Lodge is great for families and small groups of intermediate and experienced skiers and snowboarders. The guides who will take you out into the powder playground are all fully qualified and have great knowledge of the ski terrain. Each day they’ll be leading you to the sweetest spots and showing you how to seek out your dream lines. Safety gear is provided for all riders and specialist heli-ski and touring gear are available for rent.
