Extended Description

Freeride

Over the last few years Arlberg Alpin has specialised in Freeriding, and has also developed tactics and strategies for the training and guiding of everything to do with Freeriding.

Together with freeride professionals Arlberg Alpin developed its own Freeride swing (RPT) for bad snow, whereby skiing on breakable crust off-piste is also made fun.

We offer 3 different levels of freeride camps.  From beginners to experts! Whoever would like to try freeriding, just once, is well supported by the Freeride days -  or whoever would like to learn in a group or have exclusive lessons for themselves alone, there is the possibility of hiring your own private mountain guide. Prebooking desired!!

Our freeride camps take place in Stuben in the Arlbergs. You will find camps from beginners to professionals. If you want to experience more, look at the information under Heli Plus Arlberg or under the absolute kick Steep and Deep. At the start of the season we offer our yearly well-loved Deep Snow Technique Camp, where one also has the possibility of testing the latest freeride-skis and LVS equipment at no cost. At the end of the season the sun-skiers or those that enjoy the spring snow are exactly right for the Firnridedays. We guarantee that the guides at all our camps are only government certified and approved mountain guides / ski instructors. Our optimal working together with SPORT JENNEWEIN from St. Anton makes it possible for us to be able to provide the best equipment available for Freeriding. In our Freeride Shop you can hire freeride-skis with tour-bindings, airbags, and LVS equipment (3 antennas). You will also be able to buy any objects to do with Freeriding.

Course Content

Tactic, improve your proficiency, snow and avalanche science, risk management, material science, video analysis. It is advisable that helmet, airbag, avalanche-equipment, as well as freeride-skis be used during the courses. You have the possibility to rent this equipment with us

Freeride / Stuben at Arlberg / Austria

Skiing has a long tradition with us in Stuben. The history of this region and its guests reaches back to the birthing hours of the alpine ski-runs, while the ascent to the Albona summit was only on foot and was onerous. Hannes Schneider, born in Stuben in 1890 and a skier of the first hours, made the region the cradle of the alpine ski-runs. For those who have ever been skiing in Stuben, they know what it means when the mountains call; The local mountain of Albona (snow covered until May), offers new challenges daily for everyone seeking their fun on deep snow slopes away from the crowds. There is no second mountain, which offers so many downhill skiing possibilities, that those who know the area talk about the new variations. A paradise for real and passionate skiers, for who sport is just as important as being comfortable together. Insiders lovingly call Stuben ‘Little Alaska’.
