FAQ

How can I prepare for the heliski program?

Of course heliskiing makes more fun when you are fit and in a good shape. In any case we recommend that you start to do ski gymnastics 8 weeks before departure. A focused training may avoid injuries in the course of skiing.

I am a snowboarder. Can I participate?

Of course! All snowboarders and telemark skiers, who are experienced in the off-slope terrain, are welcomed. The area is well suited for skiers, snowboarders and telemark skiers. In case of an appropriate number of snowboarders and telemark skiers, own groups will be formed, otherwise you will be part of a skiing group.

Can I bring my children with me?

Participants under the age of 18 need the agreement of their legal guardian. The minimum age for participants is 15 years. Younger children can enjoy the family-friendly ski area of Gudauri, directly in front of the hotel.

How are the groups constituted?

In the PREMIUM program 4 persons constitute a group which is guided by an experienced mountain guide. The allocation of the partipicants to the Heliski groups rests with the guides and depend on the skiing skills of the participants.

In the PRIVATE Program it is possible to follow the wishes oft he guests. However it is an advantage if all participants have similar skiing skills and interests.

If you want to be with friends with different skiing abilities in a group, this is possible as long as the better skiers have respect for their friends.

What should I bring with me?

  • Weather and windproof ski clothing
  • Ski boots
  • Warm ski underwear, woolen hat, ski gloves
  • Sun protection (sun-/ skiing glasses, sun cream)
  • Photo equipment

Please DO NOT BRING your own skis: You will get the newest Blizzard powder fat skis for the course of the week. For snowboarding, please bring your own board.

Do I need a visa to get there?

Georgia can be entered by EC-, US- and Swiss citizens for 90 days without a visa. The passport must be valid at least 6 months after your journey.

How do I get there?

The journey should be started on Friday evening. On this day different airlines (eg Lufthansa from Munich, Austrian Airlines from Vienna and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul from different cities) offer flights to Tbilisi. We pick you up there and bring you with minivans to Gudauri. It will take us around 2 hours. Of course we can book your flight for you.
