Heliski Romania with Martin Freinademetz offers 2 different packages for both Fagaras and Tarcu Mountains. Package 1 includes 2 days of heli (usually 6,000 meters of vertical), 1 weather day, 4 nights housing, safety equipment, and an airport transfer. The weather day is a down day when we can not venture out with helicopter. We do other activities with your mountain guide including ice climbing, ski touring, cable car skiing, or other activities in the area such as trips to Dracula's castle. Package 2 includes everything from package 1 plus an extra day of heli. These areas of the Tarcu and Fagaras mountains has a variety of terrain for skiers of different abilities. It is recommended that you travel with others of similar abilities for your own enjoyment. The season starts in early February and lasts until near the end of March.

There are several nice options for accommodation. The Chalet Balea Lac is surrounded by glacial lakes and waterfalls and has double occupancy rooms or single for an extra fee. Chalet Balea Lac has a Helipad, bar, terrace, and a restaurant. The Tourist Complex Albota is another option, which boasts brand new facilities located right at the foot of the mountain. Guests will be close to the mountains and experience some authentic Transylvanian style. There are several other options in the area including camping and boarding houses.
