  2. Unbeatable, untouched powder
  3. Fantastic guides with extensive knowledge
  4. Backcountry skill building

Deep steeps and excellent tree skiing

Japan is the undisputed mecca of deep powder, and by deep, we mean deeeep! Myoko is famous for heavy snowfall and more tree skiing that you could ever dream of. The terrain here offers adventure for everyone, steep lines, untouched zones, no crowds and all that snow, it really doesn’t get much better than this. Goodguides have knowledge as vast as the skiable terrain that will be your playground. Professional and experienced guides will open up backcountry secret spots in over 20 ski areas including Madaro/Tangram, Nozawa Onsen and Shiga Kogen.

Improve your powder skills

These trips are focused towards experienced riders who have spent some time in the backcountry and are able to analyse avalanche terrain. This is a fantastic opportunity to improve a wide range of skills, from reading the conditions, to touring techniques and picking the best lines. Avalanche safety gear and a refresher course is all part of the package, skiers and boarders are expected to bring their own touring gear and the rest is taken care of. Over 8 days you will have access to great guides and even greater powder and 9 nights of twin share accommodation including breakfast. The trip also includes all mountain transfers, backcountry equipment (beacon, shovel, probe and backpack) and backcountry insurance.

Stay in a cosy mountain lodge

Guests will enjoy the comforts of Mon Repos Lodge located in a ski-in-ski-out position at Akakura Resort. This cosy mountain lodge a short walk from local shops and restaurants and equipped with a fireplace and bar. Relax in comfortable rooms with private or shared washrooms, free Wi-Fi, delicious breakfasts and a warm friendly atmosphere. Ready to dive into the deep end of the powder pool?
