Be Aware

Switzerland has a range of accommodation options in its many resorts. But sometimes it can be difficult to know how far it actually is to the slopes from your front door. We’ve heard stories of visitors taking two to three buses to get to the lift lineup… not fun in ski boots, holding skis and poles. Other accommodation might neighbour an apres hotspot or a lively pub, which is disastrous if you’ve flown to Switzerland for first tracks.

So, take the guessing out of your accommodation booking and let LUEX guide you through the best options. One of our chosen hotels, lodges and cabins will be perfect for your needs. Get in touch with us to find the right accommodation for you.

Four Reasons Switzerland is an Ultimate Ski Destination

01

A dream for skiers and snowboarders

Home to some of the world’s most famous resorts, known for its impressive powder and filled with alpine history, Switzerland is straight out of a skier’s dream. Wake up to virgin powder in one of Europe’s most famous resorts, like Zermatt, St Moritz, Interlaken, and Verbier, and treat yourself to an epic winter adventure on world-class slopes. The mountains out here are renowned for their challenging makeup, pulling in the world’s best every year. Here you’ll hunt down bottomless powder and endless natural features. Cliff drops, chutes and tree runs and tracking virgin powder will fill your daily schedule. Tie a ribbon around your day with heart-thumping apres ski, and when the evening is done, retire to a classic alpine lodge for a well-earned rest.

02

Experience the Swiss Alps

The Alps run across the central-southern region of Switzerland, covering 60% of the country’s area. Switzerland has about one hundred mountains that are more than 4,000 meters high, which is why the country is heralded as the mountaineering capital of the world. Yes, it’s remote but it’s not isolated. Many of the mountains and resorts are neighbours or easily accessible by a network of lifts and buses. So, don’t plant your feet in one patch of the vast region. Experience all the Swiss Alps have to offer by exploring its many skiable options.

03

Mix the old with the new on your Switzerland Winter Holiday

Switzerland is on the podium of the world’s top ski resorts. Its distinguished technology and operators have pushed the region to be one of the most advanced in the skiing and snowboarding world. Cable cars and well-oiled infrastructure are exactly what you’d expect from the world’s leading ski resorts. But even in the quest for state-of-the-art features, services, and technology, most Swiss resorts maintain the traditional charm of an alpine village.

04

More than just the snow

Skiing in the Swiss Alps isn’t just about the snow. When the day of powder hunting is done, Switzerland locals bring their vibrant culture and vigour to the many bars, clubs, and lodges. Après is a part of the average ski holiday in Switzerland, with the country priding itself on its good-time persona. But raucous parties can be replaced with Swiss charm and elegance. A mellow, relaxing evening is a top choice for those liking the slower pace. So, whether you’re after live music and dancing or a quiet meal and a movie, you’ll find Switzerland has a lot more to offer than just the snow.
