The best thing about booking with us is that we are unbiased. We don’t have exclusive contracts with selected resorts, operators or providers in Chile, but rather have them all to make sure you get exactly the holiday you are dreaming of. No compromises, no sad faces - as we offer the widest collection of alternatives for skiing in Chile.
There’s no better way to shred Chile’s incredible backcountry powder than with a heliski trip. How does this sound: a week in the Andes led by expert guides, with each day spent dropped into unexplored terrain covered in virgin snow? Yep, thought you’d like that. We have options for both heliskiing and heliboarding, with Andes Heliboarding being a crowd favourite. Chile only has a few heliski operators to choose from, so you can be assured plenty of untracked powder and space to yourself. You’ll have thousands of vertical feet to play with when you book a heliski trip to Chile.

Backcountry in the Andes
Heliskiing in Chile means heliskiing in the magnificent Andes. One of the world’s largest mountain ranges, the Andes is a long spike of varied terrain, encompassing glaciers, volcanoes, and peaks up to 4,000 meters high. These are yours to conquer, with a heli as your chariot.
Such skyward elevation, with so many large bodies of water nearby, means the powder that’s delivered to the Andes is sublime. Snowfall usually begins in late-April to May and blankets the mountain faces in light, dry fluffy stuff. You’ll want to hit the mountains by July when arguably the best part of the winter season kicks off. Then you’ll want to pinch yourself when you realise you’re shredding over the incredible and unmistakable Andes.
There are few heliski operators in Chile, but it’s here you’ll find some of the world’s best. Puma Lodge sits in the “powder capital” of the Andes, where most snowstorms dump around 100 centimeters of fresh powder. The guides are certified and know the area best. It’s a winter paradise out there with untracked powder, glaciers and huge backcountry bowls otherwise hidden in the Andes breathtaking peaks. Accommodation at Puma Lodge is 5-star and trips range from 3 to 7 days, inclusive of lodgings.
For boarders, sometimes it's good to just stick with your own, and Andes Heliboarding will be the boarder-exclusive operator who’ll offer just that. You’ll have a tonne of different mountains and terrain to choose from, along with five unique accommodation packages. And if you want to mix your heliski trip with a catski adventure, the guys and gals at Aconcagua Cat & Heliskiing will serve you the perfect combination. Catskiing with Ski Arpa, the only catski operator in South America, followed by three incredible days guided by a heli in the remote Central North zone. You’ll be far from crowds and face-to-face with virgin snow.
Timeless and charming Chilean culture
After a long day’s “work” it’s time to play. And if you’re spending your nights in one of the local resorts or towns, Chile’s locals will show you how. Chile’s vibrant culture is a blend of indigenous (known as Mapuche) traditions and contemporary customs. Beautiful sounds and bright colours are embedded in Mapuche culture, and your ears and eyes will relish both of them during your visit. But your palate will claim the tastiest treats. Chile’s Spanish-influenced gastronomy is world-class and will be a major influence for your return to Chile (which is a near-inevitability, given so many of its charms).
