What our customers say

"It was really great skiing adventure. In the end of April we had great conditions for skiing in steep terain on spring snow. The weather was really good, 5 days of skiing, one down day, for rest and to get some fresh powder which made this experience even better. I love the variety of terains, from steep culoirs, wide slopes to great skiing in trees. ..."

Kamchatka is a dream destination for Heliski

01

A Snow adventurer’s dream

Kamchatka is “the land of fire and ice” and a dream destination for every powder hunter. In this eastern region of Russia, you can descend almost 2,000 vertical meters of soft fluffy powder, racing down the side of an active volcano while taking in breathtaking views of the sea. Nothing quite compares to the surreal experience of heliskiing in Kamchatka.

Kamchatka is a peninsula on the eastern edge of Russia between Asia and the tip of Alaska where hundreds of volcanoes stretch out across the landscape, creating incredible views and epic terrain. This mountainous landscape is known for offering some of the best vertical in the world, with average rides of between 1,000 and 2,000 vertical meters. You’ll have plenty of time on your way down to explore unique terrain and enjoy unforgettable views.

02

Ski an active volcano

When was the last time you rode the face of an active volcano? The Kamchatka region consists of over 200 volcanoes, which even bubble, spurt and spew from time to time. Talk about a backdrop for an already-unique as hell adventure. The volcanoes reach between 1,000 and 2,000 metres, so your options for terrain are enormous. There’s not a chairlift in sight on Kamchatka’s volcanoes, so buckle up under the blades of the region’s best operator’s helicopter and prepare for an unforgettable journey.

03

It’s safety above all else in Kamchatka

Because Heliski Kamchatka is the pioneering operator in the entire region, you’re assured absolute competence and the highest level of safety by local experts. Kamchatka was discovered over 20 years ago by the team at Heliski Kamchatka, who are undoubtedly the most professional partner you can find in the “land of fire and ice“. Safety is undoubtedly the critical factor to consider when you’re experiencing one of the world’s most remote and wild skiing regions.

04

Kamchatka is one of the snowiest regions on earth

The terrain of Kamchatka is massive, covering an area nearly the size of Switzerland. And throughout the region, you’ll enjoy open snowfields and a tonne of verticals. This is the ultimate destination for steep and deep riders. With more than 20 meters of annual snowfall and a stable maritime snowpack in Kamchatka, you can be certain not only of sublime skiing conditions but also one of the best winter experiences of your life.

05

Wild beauty of remote Russia

Imagine snow-covered volcanoes surrounded by oceanic beauty and a sea of mountains… it’s like a landscape taken from a JR Tolkien novel and a region your eyes must see to believe. Wildlife is plentiful in Kamchatka, with local brown bears hibernating in nearby caves, king salmon swimming in the mountain streams and foxes, lynxes and wolves prowling for prey in their wild habitat. It’s as wild as it gets out here in Kamchatka.

Geysers are a common natural sight, which suck and spit hot water and steam high into the air. These turbulent springs are a quick reminder of the natural hot springs found all over Kamchatka. After a dozen or so thrill rides down a volcano face, you’ll find much-needed R&R in the Paratunka hot springs on the Kamchatka Peninsula. There really is no place like the land of fire and ice.
