Ombak Indah Losmen

Indonesia: Sumatra

Simple but comfortable accommodation in South Sumatra where the surf scene is still undeveloped with a long quality wave directly in front of your camp.

The style of accommodation at Ombak Indah is simple, comfortable and suited to the regional climate. To keep with this 'local feel', away from the hussle and bussle of our busy modern day lives, we have a 'No TV/DVD' policy and find that many of our guests appreciate.

The losmen main building is locally designed with high ceilings, large windows and wide verandas to capture breeze, keeping you cool in the tropical heat. It is situated on just under a hectare of water-front land directly in front of 'Ujung Bocor', the longest and most consistent wave in the area. In fact, the wave starts from beyond the southern boundary and continues all the way past the northern most boundary of the property. You can watch the waves peel down the point while sitting at the dining table.

Ombak Indah accommodates a maximum of 30 guests. All rooms have fans. Linen and pillows and mosquito nets are provided. There is no hot water, just crystal clear, refreshing well water.

There are 9 x 'Ensuite' rooms reserved especially for these pre-booked packages. Accommodating 2, 3 or 4 people in each, these new rooms are complete with tiled floors and verandahs, en suite western style bathrooms and large beds with spring based mattresses.

There are also 5 x 'Basic' rooms located at the back of the main building reserved for singles. Beds have foam mattresses and external shared 'mandi' style bathroom located a short walk from your room.
