If you're a beginner surfer, the beaches south of Ericeira are perfect for you. Foz do Lizandro and São Julião offer great beach breaks, while Praia do Sul provides some beginner-friendly banks if the conditions are right.

Intermediates can also find some pretty rippable banks at these beaches, or they can venture to the super consistent reef break of Ribeira d’Ilhas or check out Matadouro to hone their craft.  However, if you are up for the thrill, Ericeira and its surroundings have plenty to offer.
